Wie ben ik?
Geboren en getogen in Utrecht, afgelopen jaren in Breda, België, London, Bonaire en Colombia gewoond maar nu weer terug in het fantastisch Utrecht! Na het atheneum de koksopleiding in België gedaan, en de Hogere Hotelschool. Kortom een echte horeca-man. Mijn afstudeeropdracht is uitgegroeid tot mijn bedrijf: The Work Embassy, een internationaal hospitality recruitment bureau. Wij helpen restaurant, hotels met het vinden van talent binnen Europa en zorgen voor een mooie werkplek in Nederland. Hiernaast ben ik actief in de Slow Food Youth Network een jongeren beweging die zich inzet voor good clean and fair food. In mijn vrije tijd ben ik te vinden op een goed techno feestje of in een Aziatische snackbar.
Waarom zit ik in Thirty030?
Het is een voorrecht om te wonen in zo’n fantastische stad maar een nog groter voorrecht mij ook actief te mogen bemoeien met de toekomst van U. Heel mooi om te zien hoe de samenkomst van mensen uit verschillende disciplines zo’n bruisende, ambitieuze groep oplevert. De stad is booming en groeit hard, dit geeft grote uitdagingen. Wij maken ons hard voor een duurzame, inclusieve en creatieve toekomst van ons stadsie! UUUUU!
Wat moét iedereen in Utrecht geproefd hebben?
De Bergman Boterspritsjes van banketbakkerij Theo Blom op de zadelstraat. Dit zijn echte Utrechtse koekies. Volgens een recept van Utrechter Pieter Bergman uit 1888, worden deze klassiekers gebakken. Ze smaken licht-zout en ja, dat maakt ze zo lekker, mmmm…
